The Effects of Roof Membrane Color on Moisture Accumulation in Low-Slope Commercial Roof Systems

A field study and model analysis of the impact of roof membrane color on moisture accumulation.  The study found that both white and black roofs have wet and dry periods throughout the year and that black roofs show a slightly accelerated drying rate.  Presented at the 2011 National Roofing Contractors Association (NRCA) International Roofing Symposium.
